There is no industry standard for when to start waxing. The general consensus seems to be between the ages of 13 and 15.

Threading is more accurate, especially when done by an experienced technician who can wrap even the tiniest hairs with more prominent hairs inside the wax. Compared to waxing, there is less preparation and cleansing. However, threading is said to be more painful than waxing.

It is entirely up to you to make your decision. Threading is more accurate and safer for people with sensitive and acne-prone skin, but many people claim that waxing is no more painful than threading and is a subtler way to get rid of excess hair.

The threading is hygienic because only clean cotton threads come in contact with the skin. Using thread instead of waxing can cause wrinkles or stretch marks in people with sensitive or aging skin.

Wax two to three days before your vacation, especially if you are new to waxing, as people with very sensitive skin may have redness or minor blemishes. It subsides in another day or two.

According to the research, 48% of men surveyed prefer to keep women’s hair natural with a natural “Bermuda Triangle” (short hair and waxed sides). Only 13% prefer full Brazilian, while 17% prefer the landing strip, 15% prefer heart shape, and only 12% prefer full Brazilian (no hair).

It is best to wait at least 24 hours after using retinol products before getting a Brazilian wax. If you have sensitive skin, it is best to speak with the esthetician about your concerns and to ensure that a gentle wax is used for the treatment. They may also recommend using a topical numbing cream to reduce discomfort during the service.

To maintain the results of eyebrow waxing, it is recommended to schedule regular touch-up appointments, usually every 4-6 weeks, to keep the brows looking neat and defined. You can also maintain the shape and fullness of your brows by regularly filling them in with a brow pencil or powder. Additionally, avoid over-tweezing or over-waxing to prevent hair loss and damage to the hair follicles.
